One more post...any recs for a doula in the 'burgh? I have very little knowledge of any of the doula groups around here so any advice is appreciated! And, personally, I don't know of anyone who's used a doula so I have no one to ask. TIA!
I used Heart and Hands doula services and was very happy with them. Rene was my doula with my second son and she was so amazing. Check out the website. They have a "meet the doulas" get together the first week of each month at a yoga studio in Shadyside. I did that before I chose to go with them. Jan, the founder, is always there and usually at least 4-5 of their doulas.
Birth Doulas of Pittsburgh also has a "Meet the Doulas" Night. This month's meet is at the Panera Bread on McKnight Road at 7 pm this Thursday, 2/7. Everyone is welcome, no matter how far along in pregnancy you are.
