Face gazing

LO really only will look into my eyes briefly and prefers staring into space and looking around the room over gazing at my face. He's 5 weeks. Anyone else?

Totally normal. Babies eyes are still developing and this big world is a lot more interesting than the inside of our bellies. My baby doesn't make eye contact too long, but loves staring out the open blinds toward the light and can stare at shadows for what seems like an eternity.

My baby does interact and look at me but I would guess that is super stimulating and they need a break sometimes. She will totally zone out looking at a white wall sometimes
