Hi guys,
I'm new here. My husband and I are TTC and I've been lurking on your board because I was sent here by the other TTC boards, so I thought I'd say 'hello' to everyone.
My husband is a 'delayed ejaculator'; he can't ejaculate during sex, just masturbation (I know, I put it right out there). Anyhow, after TTC the 'old fashioned way' for a while and stressing us both out a lot, we've decided to switch to trying the 'at home IUI' method with a soft cup.
I've read the threads on this board about it, and it's nice to read about other people who are trying the same methods (even if we all wish we didn't have to).
So, hello, everyone!
Re: Hi - I'm new
Just for the sake of clarity, "IUI" means "interuterine insemination." That's where a sterile catheter is used to insert prepared/washed sperm through the cervix and into the uterus. That's completely different than putting unwashed/fresh semen in a soft cu near the cervix. I truly hope you aren't doing an IUI with fresh semen.
Best of luck to you though!
