missed misscarriage

Hi. I was wondering how many of you out there have experienced a missed miscarriage. I've got lots of questions and I'm looking for some advice. I went for my first US at 9.5 weeks. They found no HB and it looked like the baby stopped developing at 7.5 weeks. I feel if things don't start naturally by my next dr. appointment on wed (two weeks after that US), then I want to move forward with either the pill or a D&C. Both options sound awful.

Did you take the pill to start the process, wait for things to naturally happen or have a D&C? If you waited, how long did it take? Does the pill make the physical symptoms worse than waiting naturally bc it speeds up the whole process? I don't know what to expect with any option, so any advice would be appreciated.
