When a bunch of non-parents are complaining on FB about how weird, gross, and too personal it is for someone to post an u/s pic on their own FB profile.
The original status ended with "oops, I guess I wasn't "suppose" to say that, righ?"
Probably that last part hadn't been added I wouldn't have been so offended. But man....I was.
If you don't like it, don't look at it. There is a little button called "hide." Wonderful feature. Much better than taking the joy away from expectant parents by being an ass.
Re: gotta love...
I understand completely what you are saying though. I think sometimes people have to find something to complain about just to make them happy, or their lives a little less boring.
This is exactly what I said to myself when reading it.
It bothered me some because she was talking about how all of a sudden there are "We're having a baby" posts every few days on her news feed. Then she launched into the anti-u/s thing. I felt the whole thing to be very rude and offensive.
And this is part of the reason she is my DH's friend, not mine. lol.
I wonder though. 28 and single. Very much a tomboy (bought her first real bra and dress in college even) so has a ton of guy friends but no boyfriend. I wonder how much of it is jealous of "gee, I want to be settled down with a baby on the way."

What a strange thing for that girl to be annoyed about. U/S pics don't bother me. I guess I don't find that "personal" at all.
Now, the blow by blow labor updates I have seen...those I can do without!
I find an u/s pic a whoooole lot personal than a boob shot. For sure. And I know she (and some of the commenters) wouldn't care about those.
Yes, labor updates a bit much. I didn't go on FB while in labor. I did go on the internet just not FB.

I have noticed that some people complain about it...but oh well. I'd rather see a u/s pic than half of what I see on FB.
I think I just really feel bad for all those newly expectant parents on her friends list she just completely dissed. I think that is probably why it really bothered me as badly as it did.
And I really just don't get what is so wrong with an u/s pic. Seriously, way better than the boob shot or duck face imo.

LOL the duck face! What is up with that??
I agree u/s pics are a weird thing to get annoyed by. Hopefully the expectant parents didn't even notice her post, or did the smart thing and just ignored it.
