She must have pulled it out of the corner of the carpet and it was stuck between the back of her tongue and cheek! It scared the living crap out of me!

Re: dd started choking!

  • DD found a piece of thread from a blanket (it was behind the couch, so I missed it while cleaning) and was choking on it a few weeks back.  So scary! Thankfully, there was still a little bit that I could grab to pull and it all came out!

I'm glad you and your husband got it out!

A reminder for us to be extra vigilent to make sure everything is off the floor.  It's so hard not to miss something like that!

  • DD choked on a piece of clear plastic over our Christmas holidays. It was the size of my thumb nail and felt like the type of plastic you would take off of a new DVD or something. It was so scary because we couldn't see it in her mouth and she got all pink and was making a horrible squeaking sound as foamy saliva was pouring out of her mouth. It made me so glad I took my class for infant first aid and CPR. I know how you felt. It was traumatizing! It's impossible to get everything off the floor they can find to put in their mouths. It made me want to vacuum every time I put her down now!
