Just curious, do you keep your freezer in your garage? If you do, do you live where it gets cold? The only place we have room for one is in our garage and we live in the Midwest. MH said that freezers usually don't work properly when the outside temp drops below the freezer temp and can cause the freezer not to work. Anyone else live in the tundra and keep their freezers in the garage?

    Our deep freezer is in the garage and we have not had any issues with it. I live in Austin so we don't have to many cold days. Maybe 3 weeks this year of night time lows around 29 degrees. When I lived in TN lots of people kept their freezers in the garage or on patios. I think my deep freezer is current set to 0 degrees. Does it get colder than that in your garage?

    The only thing the salesman mentioned to us was because it gets so hot in Texas that the compressor would have to work harder in the summer time and that could shorten the overall life of the compressor.

    Ours is in the garage. We're in Kansas and it's an old freezer. No issues yet.

    Thanks ladies! Lately its been the coldest its been all winter. It only drops below zero with wind chill and seeing as it won't be getting the wind, I think it will be fine. Plus, a friend of mine bought a freezer just for BM 3 years ago and lends it out to friends that need it for BM, so its mine now!
