Too many Ticker change days

In my opion.....

We need to just have one day for ticker changes.

This week there was 3 or 4. Let's all pick a day and use that day. Ticker Change Tuesday, HDBD Wednesday and once we start getting our bumps you can add pics if you choose. Or first of the week Monday's

It gives us all something to look forward to each week.

There's one for each day. Lots of boards successfully do them. I don't understand why this BMB seems to struggle with it.

What about everybody else whose ticker changes Wednesday-Monday... do they not participate? Like PP said, virtually every other board on the bump has a ticker change post, one for each day. I will be exactly 5 weeks on Wednesday, so I will participate in Wednesday ticker changes.

I agree with this, but what the poster below said about once there are so many people on here, it makes sense to do one every day since people start new weeks every day of the week (did that make any sense?).

That being said, I'm not on the boards very often - don't have the luxury of being on TB at work, so I will not be participating in a ticker challenge.

Sorry you got such a negative response... I wouldn't expect that from a monthly bump board that has only been going for the past few weeks!

Life is full of conflict. There wouldn't be so much conflict on this thread if you didn't call me an another poster out for being "negative". Which we really weren't. If you wanted to talk to her about what a meanie I am without being called out in it, feel free to send her a PM.

I don't think there's a big deal with the daily ticker posts....it's people understanding them. Like yesterday was my day, someone posted who didn't have a ticker change yesterday. Not sure how to make sense of it when people are constantly coming onto the board though. It's no different than the 2ww or waiting to O threads on ttgp being posted everyday.

Neither Kim, nor Buckeye were negative in the slightest. They were simply explaining why a daily ticker thread is necessary. Because people change weeks every single day of the week.

I don't understand OP's problem with too many ticker change days lol. There are 7 days a week, so there will be up to 7 of them a week.

Quite frankly I don't care one way or the other which option we choose. The only thing with doing it once a week for everyone is it would make a REALLY big/long thread that people often won't check out for those who post later in the day (like West Coasters). But this is also true of other weekly activities like HDBD so it's really up to us to decide. I don't think the OP was trying to stir up drama but simply offer an alternative suggestion. We never did either of them on my BMB with DD so I'm excited by the idea, I just don't care which option we go with.

My suggestion as a PP said would be to wait until we have more BFPs (October is a loooong month so we'll be getting intros for a while) and then do a poll to decide what people prefer. I dunno....

We never did this on my last bmb, but that's not to say it can't be done here. I'm not participating in them right now because honestly I done have a set EDD so it seems pointless to pick a day for me. I also think basing it on the day of the week seems weird because someone at the begining of the month and someone due at the end will be on totally different pages.

I do remember liking posts like 35/35 and 20 weeks this week, so more milestone type posts.

With that being said though, we all have the choice to open and read threads so if people are loving this then so be it, but I won't be participating. At least not until I get a set EDD.

Before I express my opinion, I'll just say that I don't care much either way. But if we are going to have a ticker change day, it wouldn't make much sense to only have one a week and not daily. I know that I am exciting when my baby hits another milestone. I don't think I would want to post about a ticker change on Monday when I change on Thursday. The more posts the better, in my opinion.

Perhaps the person who posts it can include a line in the OP explaining that this thread is for people whose tickers change over to a new week on that day. I've seen that done on other BMBs as well.

I think this is a good idea. Most ladies have just started on the bump and people are confused its just going to take some time.

At first I didn't like the idea of daily ticker changes, but I think that's because I was one of the first here and we never did it on my BMB with DS. I really like the idea bc then you feel connected with those women changing the same day as you (yes, I know there are people within the thread that will be one week, two weeks, three weeks behind me). I'm still all for HDBDs too since I love seeing everyone's progress over the 9 months!

and raeyn has a good idea of whoever gets on the bump first thing in the morning and doesn't see a ticker change update, go ahead and post it.

7 days a week=seven ticker change days! The only ticker change day you should worry about is your own day. Ignore all the other ones as they do not pertain to you.

Totally, Just b/c I posted a ticker change post last Tuesday, I am so not going to get my panties in a bunch if someone else starts one this Tuesday!!!
