Good age for professional photographer?

We have done the hospital picswhich were great and 4 month old shots at Targethardly a professional and we want to get professional shots for them where they come to the house. They are starting to sit should I wait until they completely sit? Or get them now? They are a little of 6 months old. Is it worth spending the money?

  • Wait til they can completely sit. They can do a lot more with fun poses at that point. I do think it's worth it, yes. I love looking back on my kids' pro pics.

  • With DS we had a photographer come to our home when he was about 9 months old. He could sit and pull himself up to stand if he was leaning on something. The pics are amazing! I would definitely wait until the babies are at least steady when sitting on their own. For us it was worth the money for sure. She got a ton of shots of DS but also shots of the whole family. All we did was play with him and let her worry about the pics. We have a CD with all the pics on it plus we ordered some prints. We plan to have her back when the twins are born.

  • I say go for it whenever.  We bypassed the hospital photos and went to our own photographer for their newborn pics.  They turned out amazing.  We've also done sessions with the same photographer at 3 and 6 months.  They'll be going for their 9 month shots next month.  :)  I can't wait!  I get so dorked out and excited about their photos.  :)
