My husband loves the name Mae! I think it is cute but feel it is not enough. I would like to use a longer name and use Mae as a nickname.

Do you think Mae is enough for a first name?

I think it's enough. It would be the same as naming her Ann or Jane.

I think it works as a full fn. You could consider Maeve as well, if you're looking for suggestions. Maybe that seems more complete to you with Mae as a nn?

I consider it a filler name. I don't like it as a stand alone for a first name.

It's my daughter's middle name so I must admit I love it. I never considered it as a stand alone first name but I think it would work. Simple and sweet and timeless.
