When will you start potty training?

I remember reading a post somewhere on here, that was probably MUD, but she was potty training at like 9 months. I was just over on the 12-24 month board and there are some babies at 1.5 that are potty training. I thought to start around two but I have no idea and have not researched this area yet.

When will you start?

We started our first at two and it was a nightmare. It all depends on the child. Some are ready at a young age some are not. We're going to wait until dd is closer to 3 unless she shows so e major interest before then.

I was thinking 2. If she seems really interested before that I would try it but not push it.

Brynn started expressing interest at about 22 months, so we worked on it. It was going well for about 2 months and then she would scream anytime we brought her near it, so we stopped. At about 2.5, we tried picking it up again but then I had my first m/c and couldn't do it (couldn't stand making her cry, the messes, the stress, etc), so we took a break. A few months later, we had to do a crash course because we were enrolling her in pre-school and she had to be trained. She was beyond ready. It took about 2 days and were done. About 1 month later, we were even done wearing pull-ups at night.

For Paige, we will probably start when she is about 1.5 - 2, probably closer to 2.

I am a second child and my mom said I was the easiest to train. At 1.5ish, I just told her I wanted to go on the potty like Julie and that was it. I'm hoping Paige is just as easy!!

If I'm going to be potty training her it will In the spring after she turns three. 3 years 3 months old with the goal of being 100% trained day and night by 3 years 4 months old.

If she does it on her own and is 100% dry night and day she can do it when ever she wants.

I'm a teacher, so I was thinking the summer of 2014, unless he expresses interest before. However, I really want to stick with it when it's time, so I want to be sure we are both committed.

I'll go by her interest. If she seems interested around 2.5 or so we'll try. Most kids can't communicate effectively enough before that to tell you they need to go. My boys were closer to 3 and 3.5. Ds2 took prescription laxatives for 6 months due to being pushed to hard to be pt. Never again.

I think we'll start "introducing" the potty this fall, but not push it until 2-2.5ys. Girls tend to potty train quicker than boys in my experience.

If my kiddo was NT then I would have around 1.5 or 2, but since we are so far behind I'm not setting any goals until he is walking.

I think we're going to get a potty when she is 1 1/2 and just see how she takes to it. I would like to have a start on it before baby #2 comes a long which will hopefully be Summer 2014.

I'm not really sure. My DD trained around 2y3m, but I hear girls are much easier/earlier than boys. Just depends on when he is ready. I have no problem introducing the potty to him around age 2, but I don't have any expectations that he will train as early as his sister.
