  There is such a gate just search on amazon. Make sure to get one that is hardware mounter for the stairs.

  After we ordered it and were installing it, I noticed it said not to use with children, but as with any baby gate, DS was closely monitored around the stairs and it worked fine for us.

  I have one of those gates with a pet door and I was very excited to set it up.  Unfortunelty my one year old is still small enough to crawl through the door so it totally defeats the purpose!  So unless you have a gigantic baby, don't expect this type of gate from keeping your baby out of any area!
