Has anyone had experience with this? We have an appt to see our pedi on Wednesday but wanted to know if anyone here had any advice. DS #2 defiantly has a flat spot and limited neck movement. Are they stretches to do? Would sleeping in the swing help? Any other advice? We do as much tummy time as we can, but with DS1 it is a lot harder to get it done! Thanks in advance!
Re: Torticollis/Flat spot
DD had torticollis and a flat spot that almost required a helmet (thankfully not needed). Here is a link to some of the stretches our specialist recommended. They really helped.

As far as the flat spot, we did use the swing for naps, and bedtime. We have the snuggle bunny FP swing which allowed us to prop up different sides of her head so she wouldn't always be on the same spot..if that makes sense. HTH
I have no experience with this at all but when DS was in his bouncy seat, swing, etc. we used this Boppy head support pillow. It is "supposed" to reduce the incidence of flat spots but who knows.

Lei had a horrible flat spot at the back of his head.

It takes some time for it to show its working but within a few months it was gone. Plus once he is old enough to be in a jumperoo he will have more time off his head.
Yes, I have a friend that had some problems with flat spots on her baby's head. Have you tried a Tortle? It's a little beanie hat with a padded positional roll that allows you to take the pressure off certain spots of the head. It's only around $20, and definitely worth checking out! She used it on her DD and it did the trick! Here is the webiste - www.tortle.com.
