Letrozole (femera) success stories?

Hi -

I'm new here and really seeking some encouraging stories! We have been TTC for 2 years this month and feeling discouraged (especially me!). I'm on my second month of Letrozole and wondering if anyone has had success with this.

We are both in our mid-20s and healthy. Our specialists have run the gam met of tests and there are no explained causes for our infertility issues so far...

    You will probably not find many success stories here. Many of us have yet to conceive #1. You are better to post this question on Pregnant after IF or Success after IF.

    Hello, SAIF may be a good group to post this on, since most of us haven't had a "successful" cycle yet. Good luck to you!!!! I really hope this works for you. I will be starting on it when I do my IUI cycle and I hope very hopeful! Good luck again!

    Age: Me 26, DH 27, Married Oct. 10, 2009 ,TTC since March 2012
    Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
    Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
    First RE appt 1/10/2013
    Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
    Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
    2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
    Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then Bloggy Blog!

    If you are looking for success stories, you will want to check the other boards as mentioned above including PAIF (pregnant after infertility).  This is Trouble Trying to Conceive so most of us have not had success.  That being said I did get pregnant on a femara cycle, but it ended in a miscarriage due to chromosomal abnormalities. Not sure if that counts as a 'success' story.   See my siggy for more details.  We have also been diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

    I am on my third cycle of letrozole, no BFP's yet. The first cycle I had 2 good follies, 2nd cycle I had 3. Making good follies is what letrozole is supposed to do so I guess that's sort of success. Like the other ladies have said, try paif or saif if you are looking for true success stories. Good luck!
    TTC since June, 2011 with anovulatory PCOS, 1 blocked tube, and mild MFI
    3rd cycles clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
    4th cycles letrozole/Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 = BFP! Twins due 2/5/2014

    I actually did get pregnant with Femara.  It was my fourth cycle on it, and my first IUI.  The pregnancy ended, but technically the meds/IUI were successful.... so yeah... it is considered a success story by my RE's office.  The loss had nothing to do with my IF or the medication.

    Thanks ladies - I did repost. I did 2 cycles of femora and this cycle we'll try IUI. It seems from other posts that miscarries on IUI is quite common... Don't know how I'd handle that! Good luck to you all!

    Hey there!

    Just wanted to see how things are going your way. We seem to be in the same boat. My husband and I have been trying for 2 years also and I myself sit on here looking for happy stories and stories that remind me I am not alone. We are also 26 and 27 and all of are test have been normal. Have you had any luck since this post or are you guys still trying?

    Hi all!

    My hubby and I have also been trying for over 2 years, and have also been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I will be starting my third cycle on letrozole tomorrow. Our fertility specialist gave us 6 months worth and sent us on our way. Basically said to just let him know how it goes. Is this normal? I've been reading a lot of posts from others on letrozole that they are monitored. Should I be requesting to be monitored or should I just wait and see how the 6 months go?

    Hi!

    Sorry I just read this - no success!!! We just had our 3rd IUI this week and now the long 2 week wait... My results were the best they've been in the 2 years this round however, as far as my lining thickness (its been pretty thin in the past) and follicles (2 or 3 this time). How are things going for you???
