Fitness Friday check in

Was thinking we can start a Friday weight/fitness check in. Anyone interested? I thought it might keep those of us who are trying to lose the baby weight on track.

How much did you gain with your pregnancy?

38 lbs 

How many weeks is your LO?

10 weeks  

How much have you lost so far?

 24 lbs

What is your weight loss goal?

to lose 15 lbs by March 30th (when I go to FL)

What are you currently doing regarding nutrition? 

 Trying to eat well during the week.  Had two bad days this week tho :(

What exercise did you do this week?

Ran 2 mi on Monday

gym on Tues, lifted some weights, 10 min on stair stepper

got a head cold on Wed and nothing since

Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? 

cutting out the white flour/sugar has helped me

    9 weeks  

    How much have you lost so far?

     21 lbs - but I gained 5 the month before I got pregnant and I injured myself in the last two months, so I'm eager to get those muscles in shape.

    What is your weight loss goal?

    Maybe lose the first 5 pounds. I'm really more concerned with regaining tone and developing muscles.

    What are you currently doing regarding nutrition? 

     I'm failing at this in all sorts of ways this week. I'll make a more concerted effort starting tomorrow to get my 5 fruit and veg, and lots of protein and water.

    What exercise did you do this week?

    none. I'm pretty broken post-birth as well. I'm not sure when I'll be able to do more than walk and bounce LO. I ran most of my pregnancy, so I'm hoping to slowly work back up to that over the Spring.

    Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? 

    Make sure you get your 5 cups of fruit and veg a day!

     Just portion control really...

    Does going up and down the stairs doing laundry count? haha

    Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? 

    Cut out things a little at a time. And don't get upset if it doesn't happen as quickly as you'd like!

    Counting calories

    Monday-eliptical Wed-treadmill Thurs-45 min walk 

    Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? 

    Change up your exercise routine. It's easy to get bored with one thing. So I spin, treadmill, eliptical, yoga(home and classes) and I'm waiting on a Tracy Anderson post preggo dvd!

     29 lbs - . the first 24 lbs melted off since then I have to work at it!

    30 more lbs minimum

    What are you currently doing regarding nutrition? 

    I calorie count using the app lose it! and i portion control! 
     

    What exercise did you do this week?

    I go to a turbo kick class 2-3 times a week and try to jit the gym 2-3 times a week for cardio 

    Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? 

    Portion control!!!

    11 weeks  

    How much have you lost so far?

     25 lbs

    What is your weight loss goal?

    I was 110 pre-pregnancy.  I'd like to get down to at least 115. 

    What are you currently doing regarding nutrition? 

    I'm trying to eat more fruits and veggies.  I've been keeping track of my nutrition with an app and seeing what areas I need more nutrition in - like calcium. 

    What exercise did you do this week?

    I have been running 2 miles every other day.  On off days I try to do a workout video.  I have a nice one made especially for post-pregnancy which is kind of nice.  Or I do the YourShape workout with the Kinect for Xbox. 

    Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? 

    I actually signed up for several road races.  This has kept me on track to get in shape because I want to finish the races to the best of my ability.  I think signing up for an event will help my stick to my plan because it's too late to back out of it!

  • I am determined to get back on track after the Super Bowl. I have been trying but my eating has been spotty at best. I think this is a great idea!How much did you gain with your pregnancy?50 lbs. ugh! I went on bed rest at 32 weeks and between the inactivity and the water retention (I was eventually induced for severe pre e and had a c section at 36 weeks) I gained 30 lbs in the last 2 months of the pregnancy. How many weeks is your LO?12 weeks  How much have you lost so far?26 lbsWhat is your weight loss goal?29 lbs by September  What are you currently doing regarding nutrition?  Cut out junk food. Eat highly nutritious meals (I'm EBF so can't really count calories). What exercise did you do this week?Did a wii fit workout monday, on demand (tv) workout Tuesday, walked 1mile with the dog every day this week too.Tips/advice for those of us who are trying to lose? I will give myself one cheat meal+dessert I use the meal to get me through cravings because if it's something i really want I can have it for my cheat meal.
