What are your hobbies / what do you do for fun?
-I love reading. I'm currently re-reading the Harry Potter series for the 4th time (because I'm a giant nerd), a book a friend of mine wrote, and Stephen Kings Needful Things. I'm always juggling 2-3 books at a time.
-Going hiking or on trail walks with my dogs, which has been sadly lacking in the terribly freezing cold or gross rainy weather mix we've been having here.
-Scrapbooking, which I think I'll do today since I'm sick again and I've gotten behind in DDs baby scrapbook.
-Watching movies; DH and I are movie junkies. Watching them at home or theaters, new or rediculously old, whatever mood strikes me at the moment.
Re: GTKY
I love to read but haven't had much time to do so lately. I finally read the Hunger Games last month.
I love to cook and bake and watch movies. The hobby I do most often is singing. I am the worship leader for our praise team band at church.
I wish I could do all of these things. I mean of course I can bake, but I'm not very good at it. I usually have to have made a recipe before for it to work out. I even messed up peanut butter cookies before which only included 3 ingredients I think...it was the recipe off the Kraft PB container...yeah I can fail at almost any baking project lol.
I haven't sewed since grade 10 Home Econimics, and my grandmother taught me to knit but I can't do much more than a scarf. Crochet is so beautiful; I love all the homemade baby gifts we got for DDs babyshower and WISH I could do that stuff.
-I also love to read, although I haven't had much time to do so since LO arrived. I find just doing my daily devotions is tough enough.
-Dh and I looove food. I guess you could call us foodies. We love going out to eat and cooking delicious meals at home.
-We recently joined the YMCA. I am taking a yoga class and a total body workout class. Dh works out in the weightroom. Kids have their own classes and LO goes to baby land.
-We just purchased a 33' camper (rv) at one of the most beautiful campgrounds in the USA. Our lot overlooks a gorgeous lake. Our camper has a full kitchen, livingroom, master bedroom, bath, and kids room complete with bunk beds. I'm not really an "outdoorsy" person but I love love love it. It has a beautiful deck with a fire pit and plenty of room for the kids to play outside. We plan on spending every weekend in the summer there. Can't wait!!!
We are very outdoorsy people and I love to garden, camping, bbqing, I just got a new bike for Christmas so I'm hoping to bike more this year!
We're building a waterfall and pond this year I can't wait for spring.
I also love cooking and couponing!
I'm only good at baking because i like to follow directions. this is the hardest part about being a mom, there are no directions to follow!
