  I've had to do bowel preps, which I absolutely hate, for other surgeries but not for my c-section.  I just had to fast for 8 hours prior to the c-section.

  I have had to for every other surgery but since my csection was so sudden I obviously did not. They are "that bad". Just be ready to be up most of the night pooping aaaaaa looooooot!!!

  I've had three c/s and I have never had to do this.

  I've had two c/s and didn't have to do this either time.  I was asked to fast for 8 hours to clear out the stomach, but I don't see why the bowels would have to be cleared.
