Frikkity-frak, ladies. I just don't want to do it. I have a child that falls asleep on his own at bedtime - no bottle, no rocking - and sleeps for 10 hours, give or take, with few to no wake-ups. The catch: we co-sleep/bedshare. As we are approaching his first birthday, DH and I keep talking about finally making the transition to his crib in his room. We will likely wait until after his birthday party (a week after his birthday) in case we have a rocky go of it. I just hate the idea of messing with something that is working so well...with the exception of DH and I having our bed to ourselves at night. I know we need to do it, but I just don't wanna, dang it. I know we will all survive and hopefully he will sleep as well in his crib as he does with us, but I have this fear of ending up with the baby up multiple times a night and waking at 5 a.m.
vent/whine over... for now....

It's so hard! It's like on one hand, it would be great for them to be independent, but on the other, they're still our babies!
