Boba 3G users?

Just had a quick question for you. I expected to LOVE this carrier based on the reviews, but so far, it's just okay. I'm still having to wear DD in the newborn carry and probably will for at least another month, if not two, so I don't know if that's the source of discomfort or not. She's longish, but very skinny. I find the strap across the top really digs into my neck, and it's just not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I want to hang on to it to see if it gets better as she gets bigger. Anyone else have this experience? Is it a more comfortable carrier with a larger baby?

Re: Boba 3G users?

  • I have the Boba 2G, so I couldn't start using it until 15 lbs. I did try it around 14 lbs. with A., but it just wasn't comfortable. I continued using our mei tai in the meantime. I decided to give it another try when she was around 18 or 19 lbs., and I am so glad I did!

It is now our favorite carrier! It gets used pretty much daily, often multiple times a day.

Definitely put it away for a while and give it another try later.

  • I'm a bit of a lurker but is the strap around your waist tight enough? if not the baby is essentially hanging from your neck.  I made that mistake at first and then it was much more comfortable. I love our 3G now!

I think so? I mean, it feels snug, but I'm also not sure if I've got it in the right place at my waist, if that would make a difference.

It might. I'd play around with that just to see. Good luck!!
