ugh...DH vent

So DH works long hours basically is gone from 530 until 630. That leaves me with getting the kids ready in the morning (lunch and all, plus my stuff) then when we get home, feeding DS, cooking, dishes and trying to play with DD. By the time he gets home it's almost time for dinner - so not much for him to do. I also work and we do not get home until about 6. DH also works 1/2 days on Saturdays he has told me that if I wanted to do something (take a class, go somewhere) let him know. Well I actually want/need to go somewhere this Saturday, I told him and his response was that he really needs to work. I told him well our kids really need clothes, I was going to a mom to mom sale. I tried to find a sitter - no luck. I would take the kids but this sale is a HUGE one and would be a pain to shop with them. It just makes me mad that he tells me to tell him if I want to do something then tells me he cannot stay with the kids while I go, ugh!!

    That sounds frustrating.

    I personally have learned to leave some options to my DH:  "DH, the children need clothes.  I can buy discount at the Mom 2 Mom sale this weekend and spend $100 but I would need you to watch the kids.  OTherwise I can look after the kids and purchase their necessities online for about $400 total.  How would you prefer we proceed?"
