RAVE: Resting Up Napper (like RnP)

I haven't been on much as a FTWM to a preemie, but I just had to rave about the Resting Up Napper.  We could not live without the FP RnP, but when the mold recall happened - I noticed mine was growing mold - despite washing the cover.  No way in hell I was going to fill a plastic storage bin with bleach water and soak it.  I am freaked out enough about what my preemie breathes in.  I tried transitioning him to the crib but he had a cold so it was horrible timing.  So I saw this at Target and it is SO much better than the RnP. It is more portable, has vibration to soothe baby to sleep (vs me constantly rocking him myself), and it's cover is completely removable for washing so there shouldn't be any mold issues.  Plus it was cheaper.  If I had known about this sooner I would have grabbed it for Grandma's house.

Hoping I can help some other mommies out!

  • The nice thing about the RNP is that is rocks.  If they added a vibration feature to the RNP that would be awesome.

  • Can't you totally remove the rnp fabric? You would just need to disconnect the legs? I didn't get mold in ours but we are in a very dry climate. FWIW I saw this at Target the other night and thought it looked neat, but dd didn't care for vibration and really liked rocking. I guess it depends on the baby which would be better.
