Spitting out food

So Aiden "ate" vegetable Mac n Cheese and some chicken cutlets for lunch. With every bite he seems to really enjoy these two things, but spits out a little after chewing it. I'm not sure of he's actually swallowing any, it just seems to. Get chewed and spit out, but likes it I think. Anyone else?

    Nat spits out food when she doesn't like it or is full. Wonder what's going in that little head of his!

    My LO does this every once in a while.  Generally it doesn't have anything to do with whether or not she actually likes the food.  If its something she doesn't like she just doesn't put it in her mouth to begin with!

    Lyla did this all last week. I think she did it just because she can or because she was teething. We went back to solely purees for a few days and then slowly started putting things on her tray to pick up. She isn't doing great but better. Also, she liked feeding herself the purees with a spoon. I guess she is just exercising her independence and strong will.
