BOB Duallie?

Anyone have experience with this stroller?

DH and I are torn whether or not we should get one now with #2 on the way. We currently have a BOB, and love it. It has been great the 18 months that we've used it for our daughter. We use it for running and walking regularly. Obviously,we are going to need some sort of stroller that accommodates two kids, and I think that a jogging stroller better suits our lifestyle. I would also need the stroller to work with our Chicco Keyfit carseat.

Concerns I have: our BOB cost a pretty penny, and I would hate to get another one that costs even more money. How much longer will our 18 month DD realistically be in a stroller? Will it be worth it to get an expensive double stroller?

Does anyone have the Duallie? Pros/Cons? Or if you we're in the same position as me at some point, and ended up going with a different stroller....what did you select?

We have one, my kids are 13 months a part, but even if they were 18 months I still have bought one. And not because we're expecting a third baby, ds1 just wouldn't want to run as long as I do. I bought new, but I know that they pop up on Craigslist fairly often so you could always check there.

Pros are much the same as the single.

Easy to handle and turn one handed.

"Real tires"

I love how much coverage the shades give.

Cons:

It is really wide, so don't plan on being able to use it as an indoor stroller.

If you want cup holders for the kids after you're done with the already sold separately infant seat attachment, you have to buy yet another attachment.

The adult cup holder is also sold separately.

If you love the single, you are probably going to want the double. I would try to find one used on Craigslist. Sure it's big but it sounds like you'll get plenty of use out of it. What you may want is a smaller, more car friendly stroller later but I would definitely get the double. You could also sell your single BOB to pay for the double if you wanted to. I am selling my Vista and I got the Indie Twin. I also plan to get a lightweight car stroller sometime soon.

I think you older DD will stay in it as long as you want her to...my 4yo goes for walks with the baby and me. He doesn't ride in a stroller regularly (like around town), but for walks or runs, it's great!

We love our Duallie and fwiw, we've had it for 5-6 years and it looks barely gently used. If you can find one on Craigslist, go for it because they hold up so well, it's easy to find a nice one (disregard the age of the stroller).

I love love love my double bob! I recommend it 100 times over! My girls are 18 months apart and DD1 still rides in the bob for walks around the neighborhood and to the park. With #3 on the way we'll get even more use out of it.

once we're done with it we can sell it for a pretty penny. Every double bob I've seen on Craigslist goes for around $250. And they're 2007+ models not brand new! We figured we could spend the money now and resell it when we are done.

We have single BOB and love it. However after pushing the duallie and a few other doubles we went with the city mini select. It serves our lifestyle pretty well we use our burley for jogging plus it is light, easy to maneuver, and easy to clean. Plus the cheaper cost was nice.
My girls both will still ride in the stroller 19 months 3 yrs..
