Just lost my vitamins...

My first pregnancy, about 2 years ago which ended in a miscarriage, I suspect due to antibiotics and a fever of 102 for 5 days, was miserable. I couldn't function as a human being.

So with that to compare it to, I don't feel pregnant one bit. My boobs are a little sore and I am nauseous occasionally, but compared to last time, this is easy! Then I started to worry. Maybe the baby isn't doing well, what if I'm experiencing a missed miscarriage?

Well, I just lost my vitamins and I must say, I'm celebrating that. Hopefully I am just a late bloomer at 7 weeks pregnant, when it comes to morning sickness.

Am I weird for being happy I just got sick? Ha ha.

ETA : Toilet paper smells absolutely horrible!

  • As weird as it sounds, I got excited when I got sick as well. I didn't have any symptoms last pregnancy which ended in a loss, so every time I get sick I try to remain hopeful and thankful.

  • I had some mild nausea.... until I hit exactly "7 weeks" No I lose it every morning.  Not happy about it, but it is reassuring to know that peanut is sticky and growing :)

  • Lol- congrats on being sick!  I know it does seem weird, but reassuring, to have symptoms!  FWIW, if I take my vitamins at night before bed, I don't get sick from them...hope that helps!

Thankfully I only volunteer at this moment. I am not sure I could handle 24's if I had to be there there was a busy day/night. Both SO and I are medics though, so I'm wondering how it'll work once baby comes. His schedule is 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on and then off for four days. I know he's taking the day I'm due and the subsequent days off, which will give him 9 to 12 days off if we plan it right, but too much to think about right now. Haha.

Giving a pt zofran, too bad we can't pull the 2 for me, 1 for you... 1 more for me, none for you! lol. Oh how I wish.

LOL I just watched that movie the other day, wasn't thinking anything like that but very true!

  • Morning sickness is definitely reassuring, I don't know if you can truly understand it unless you've had a miscarriage
  • Remember no symptoms does NOT mean 100% of the time that the baby/pregnancy is not healthy (sometimes sure but not always). Your body may just be tolerating them well.

:) but glad you feel better about it OP!!

  • M/S sucks but at least it gave you peace of mind so that is something. :)

     Anniversary
  • I was in the same boat. I was symptom free for first 6 weeks, then out of nowhere BAM! I want those symptom free days back, with the healthy baby. I hate throwing up, more than anything. Ipray this next 6 to 8 weeks flies by!
  • I know what you mean.  I never really had any symptoms with my last one and even though everything was fine, its just unnerving.  I'm much happier having my just-like-on-TV barfing episodes this time.
