Pregnant after 35

Glucose test this morning bleh...

I've heard there are some lucky ladies who get to go out and have a nice tasty breakfast instead of drinking the Glucola for their one hour glucose test (especially if they've been pregnant before with no GD).  Well, I am not one of those lucky ladies.  I drank the nasty Glucola this morning after fixing myself a small breakfast of eggs and toast.  That stuff is just as bad as I remember it.  Honestly, it would not be so bad if you didn't have to drink the whole bottle.  It's that last 1/3 of a bottle that's hard to get down.  I got my blood drawn and then felt like I needed a nap (I guess because my blood sugar was probably crashing right about then).  Thankfully this is the last time in my life I will ever have to down that stuff.

This turned out to be a bit of a rant I guess lol.  Thank you for listening. :)

  • Hurray for the last time downing the Glucola! I had the flat Sprite version (lemon-lime?) and it wasn't too terribly bad, but then I felt nauseous and a little spacy and later in the day I got a headache. Yuck. I hope you pass with flying colors!!
