Sick kids in DC

Would you rather know or not know?

My DCP told me today that one of the kids puked yesterday and that she has lysoled everything since then. I would rather just live in happy ignorance, rather than watching them closely and worrying all weekend.

  • Definitely rather not know.
  • Loading the player...
  • If DS catches a bad bug, then I ask if there's anything going around, but that's about the only time I'd want to know.

  • I'd rather not know... until my kid gets sick and I find myself wondering if it's going around daycare.  :)
  • I would rather know so that I can be prepared to deal with it. I don't like those kinds of surprises. When I drop DS off at daycare, and I see one of his classmates with a snotty nose, I know it is coming within a matter of days.

There is a child in Brooke's room who I call Patient Zero.  He's always the first to get everything. :)

  • I would rather not know unless it's something more 'serious' like HFM or croup (which we do get letters sent home if those appear in Rocco's class). But run of the mill snotty noses, fevers, or vomiting - nah, don't tell me. Ignorance is bliss. Can't do anything about it, you know?
  • I honestly don't care.  If LBB gets sick, I pretty much assume it's from daycare and that's the way the cookie crumbles.

But I'm also probably colored by the near constant emails from the crazy mom in my daycare updating us with her child's status every day or so.

  • I would like to know when there ISN'T a sick kids in ds's dc room. It's always a cess pool of snot, boogers, and drool.

That is very funny! At least you know who to pay attention to! Big Smile
