Test strips

So I bought these cheapo test strips on Amazon.

Not sure if they're like the kind you get at the Dollar store.

Anyhoo, the instructions told me to hold it in my pee for 3 seconds. Do I need to still pee in a cup for these, or can I just pee on it like a stick?

Sorry if this is a dumb question! I'm just now getting into the whole TTC thing.

I am looking at getting a similiar product off amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026995KO/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AEKN4BJBJ2XBL) and in the reviews people say that not only do they have to pee in a cup, but the urine should be room temperature before testing. Maybe go get some little dixie cups and then let it sit for 5 minutes before testing.

Pee in a cup and you can use them right away. I had no problems with my pee being body temp when testing.

You have to pee in a cup because you can only get the strips wet up to a certain place. Just get some dixie cups/disposable cups.

Thanks for the answers! I was hoping to be able to avoid trying to pee in a cup, in fear of ehm, missing, but I guess that's the price you pay if you don't want to pay a lot for sticks.
