Ok, now I'm ready to throat punch someone...

I have decided I don't want to return to work full time. My job offers part time positions and when I spoke to my supervisor last week, he said part time is definitely an option. OK, great. Well, I get a call today from work and they have approved me coming back part time, and to let them know how many hours I want to work. BUT, they can't guarantee a set schedule. So, if I want to come back 16 hours ( 2 days) like I planned they cannot guarantee two full days. They might make me work those 16 hours over 3 or 4 days. And, it will probably change every week. Are you frickin kidding me? How can I plan childcare around this nonsense?
I'm so mad I could spit. Maybe I will be a sahm after all.

when I read the title of your thread I thought you were mad about the rainbow thing
I'm sure if you go in and have a sit down talk they might be able to work something out. Especially if they don't want to lose you. But it sounds like if you were considering SAH, this could be your opportunity to do that!

Ugh, the worse part is I know they aren't going to budge on this. I guess I should have seen it coming. They have a history of not valuing their employees and treating everyone like they are dispensable. The director is a miserable person who never had children and has zero sympathy.
