Wwyd?

So I've been concerned bc I feel so good. I don't feel pregnant. I'm 4.5 weeks
I called my doc and they said that's normal for some people but I could come in and check my beta. Would u? Or just wait it out?

  • I would check my betas. GL!

  • Everyone's symptoms are different. some don't even have ANY...I had very few my first pregnancy...but this time sore bbs, heartburn, fatigue, etc.

If it would make you feel better - do the beta. No harm in a blood test!

  • Personally I would wait it out. If you have positive pregnancy tests and no obvious signs of a mc then I would just be thankful that I don't have any ms. I didn't have anything with DS but with this one, I'm feeling nauseous all day long.

  • I think you just really need to think about it and decide how you feel.  Some people might be able to be more laid back and it would drive others crazy. If you are really going to worry and it would make you feel better then go for it.

  • I personally would wait it out.  You are only 4.5 weeks.  A lot of people don't have symptoms until 6-8 weeks.  I know I didn't have any until the first tri was almost over (with my son).  Hang in there.  Your body barely knows it is pregnant at this point to even start having symptoms.

  • I would wait and try not to worry about it.  I also barely had any symptoms with my first pregnancy, I barely felt pregnant until I started showing.  I am defintely more of a less intervention type though.

  • I'm in the same boat!  Pretty much no symptoms yet (aside from a few sleepless nights, a little constipation, and a little gas) and will be 5 weeks tomorrow.  I've had 2 positive tests at home and one positive urine test at the midwife.  My midwife said to not worry about the lack of symptoms and they'd come soon enough.
  • I could go either way. With a history of loss, you could do betas. But I don't put a ton of stock in betas because I had perfect doubling betas twice and still lost both of those pregnancies. This time, I asked for a third beta which I had done yesterday at 5.5 weeks. Now I've gotten some reassurance and just have to wait for the u/s like everyone else. But FWIW, I didn't feel pregnant with my son at all and he's a perfectly healthy almost 2-year-old!

  • Thank you all so much!
I've been thinking and the fact I do feel good is a blessing so I'm gonna wait until my 1st appt. 2/12 not that far away!!

  • I think if it would give you peace of mind then go for it. I would rather be the crazy over-reactor than someone who could have done something but didn't, ya know! Good luck!
  • when i was pregnant with dd i didnt even know i was pregnant- until i took a test and found out i was 6 weeks. i didnt have any symptoms, at all until around 10 weeks and even then it was just hunger and exhaustion. i wouldnt worry unless you have obvious signs of mc, like pp said.

be happy you arent sick right now!

  • I am in the same boat. I have noticed little things though-sore boobs, peeing more (I wake up once a night to go to the bathroom even which is getting old fast), and when I'm hungry I'm ravenous and can't wait to eat!

I am just going to wait until my doctor's appointment on the 21st.
