Valentine's Day for LO

Are you doing anything for your LO(s) for Valentine's Day? My mom always did little things like send pink cookies with our lunch or make red heart pancakes for breakfast. I want to do something fun for J (& K even) but I'm not sure what he'd care about yet.

I am NOT going to try making cookies with him again after the Christmas cookie disaster!

This will be a P&R b/c I have a bunch of work to do but I'll be back later.

Hmm...I think I suck because it didn't even occur to me to do something for them. Maybe I will get A a piece of candy. He loves chocolate but I don't give it to him much.

I really hadn't thought about it. i honestly don't think she would notice if I made her pink pancakes or a heart shaped sandwich. Maybe in a couple years she would like to make cookies together or something, but at this age I still don't give her sweets.

My mom has always gotten me a card. When I was little it came with a stuffed animal. When I was 7 it was a card and getting my ears pierced. After that it was a card in the morning and getting something at school (when I was at the age where getting something delivered at school was cool) Likes flowers or balloons or candy or something. I think J will probably get a card and a balloon from me this year because well the kid loves balloons! lol

We hadn't really planned on doing anything, but it's entirely possible DH or I might succumb to the lure of all the holiday candy, in which case we'll share a little bit with DS.

We'll be away in Florida, so I think we'll skip this year. My mom used to leave a special valentine gift in our room for when we woke up. It was usually a pajama, and when we got older it was a card and candy, and I seem to remember a few dollars ; I was kind of thinking next year that I would do something special with T and H could do something with D. Who knows!

Yep! I ordered (from Mrs.De!) a dozen cake pops for DH and will steal one for C. He really adores little stuffed animals right now so will either give him that or the red Thomas the Train caboose I just snagged for a steal. He totally gets holidays now so think he'll be pretty excited!

She'll have a V-Day party at our parent-tot class and we'll probably bake cookies together or something. She LOVES to bake and, fortunately, loses interest after they go into the oven so she doesn't actually eat the cookies.

He'll have a Valentine's Day party at his daycare so I have little sticker books for his classmates. I haven't decided if I'll pick up a card for him or not when I go get a card for DH. I do want to get him a special shirt, but I'm not a fan of what I saw at Target and haven't been around to check any other places out yet.

I bought C a super cute one at Gap that's navy and red and says "Loverboy" across the front. It was only in the store though not online. I snagged it for a great deal and am making him wear it a bunch before V-Day, haha!

He'll have a party at school too and I'm sure they'll have cupcakes. But stickers sound good! Maybe a new coloring book too.

And I'll probably make pink raspberry muffins or something to have for breakfast (something that I know is safe for Kayla's diet).

It's super dry here and the DC teachers are washing their hands constantly so I was thinking about getting them little bottles of hand cream with a note with something like "to care for the hands that care for my hearts" - oohh maybe J can help me put heart stickers on the bottles!

I'll probably get her a Valentine and a little stuffed animal. She's totally into beanie baby bears right now. Maybe I can find one of those. Ours are all secondhand ones. Where does one buy a beanie baby?

I bought J a pack of valentine's stickers the other day that I'll probably give to him on V day. We are going to make heart shaped pink Rice Krispy treats to take in to his class party on Valentine's day.

Ebay maybe? C has two of the bears and loves both (or I'd send one to you!). One is a Christmas bear and one for V-Day but both are really old too.

aww that's sweet, I would love if H did something special for K but I don't know that he'll think of it on his own and it's not really as special if I tell him to do it. Maybe I'll hint around and see if he catches on.
