I haven't washed my hair since Monday. It doesn't look gross or anything, so why bother. (I'm usually an every day or every other day kind of gal)
I posted DD2's birth story on my other BMB because there have been quite a few posts from soon-to-be STM's feeling guilty about bringing in another child in their family. Someone responded with their own birth story, which is fine, except it has NOTHING to do with going from 1 to 2. So I'm annoyed at her for "ruining" my thread with her not-so-fun birth story (she doesn't mention her older LO once but goes in great detail about her negative hospital experience and her 3.5 degree tear)
I secretly wish someone would throw a shower for this LO.
You end up registering somewhere, you let me know. I'd love nothing more than to help you guys celebrate a little boy!!
I threw a shower for my SIL's 3rd baby boy. Nobody even batted an eye. This etiquette stuff is for the birds. I'm all for celebrating new bebes!!
ETA: Oh, and I went to the dollar store last night and bought HPTs. BFN.
March is my month. I am so excited!! So there!! Thanks for enabling me...
Awww you're sweet - Though truth be told, it's not like I would have much to register for. Washcloths, a new hooded towel, an electronic snot sucker, a new diaper backpack, and that's it.
Also, it's not even an etiquette thing. Showers aren't all that popular a thing around here it seems. I had one for DD1, but it was very small (it was a couples shower and we had a total of about 12 - 15 people) AND I highly suspect DH actually organized the whole thing.
Also, I am glad you wrote HPTs, with an "s", because you know we're going to hound you until you either get a BFP or AF shows up

Yesterday that my teeth felt gross and then I realized I hadn't brushed my teeth in two days. Yuck, I am disgusting. If it makes it any better I've brushed my teeth twice today so far. I blame it on the new baby.
I just had a bit of a meltdown at my kids.
DD1 has been begging me to spend time with her today, and I want to, I really do. But my sciatica is kicking hard after physical therapy and I'm also in a really bad mood as it is because she has been doing some shameless and consistent rule-breaking lately. She also won't clean up after herself AT ALL despite being almost six and despite the fact that she used to do so regularly because that's just how it works under this mama's rule.
DD2 has taken to screaming. And also to constant, constant, CONSTANT grazing. Which means that when she wants another snack (which she'll eat half of and then throw on the floor) she screeches and whines. Then, when she throws half of it on the floor, she screeches and whines when I throw it away.
Also, DD1 won't stop being fcuking mean as sh!t to DD2. She uses her foot to push her sister over, knocks her over with pillows, snatches things from her, shoves her, yells at her. It all reached a crux today.
After back-to-back time-outs for DD1 for breaking one rule and then lashing out for being put in time out, I had a long no-nonsense talk with her about being disrespectful, not listening, rule-breaking, and being mean to her sister. And maybe it was wrong of me, but I told her that if she wanted to spend time with me today she needed to clean up the huge mess in the living room, stop being mean to her sister, and show a little respect. I also told her that the reason I seem to never have time to just hang out is because I'm too busy cleaning up after and cooking for everyone and that it takes me a long time because my legs hurt and nobody ever wants to help me, so I needed her to help me out if she wanted me to be done faster.
I also made DD2 cry by NOT giving her any honeydew when she started screeching for it as I was cutting it. She'd had a PB foldover on whole wheat bread an hour prior, so she wasn't hungry and I'm sick of enforcing the goddamned screeching by giving her a snack every time she does it. I might have told her to can it.
I'm normally eternally patient and good-natured under typical kid-related stress, but I just could.not.take.anymore today.
My yelling may have also spurred my step-dad into taking out the trash without being asked.

see, this was always confusing for me. I would say we were trying and people would ask if i was temping, using opks, checking cm/cp, etc. I got tired of saying "nope, just dtd." So i started saying, not preventing. To me, "trying" means you're doing more than just humping like rabbits.
