Boy names!!

Hubby and I find out what we are having on Tuesday!! We are so excited.

We already have our girl name picked out, but are having the hardest time with a boys name. It's not that we can't agree on a name. We just can't find THE one that's perfect. With the girl name it was so easy he said it and BOOM nothing else seemed more perfect. We want it to sound strong and no 'P' names last name starts with a P.

Any suggestions? :/

    The best suggestion I can give you is start out with criteria. I asked DH that we only come up with very traditional names for our boy list. If you don't narrow it down in some manner than you can get overwhelmed. To make that criteria just think about what is important to you in a name. You already have 1 criteria of no P names. We also kind of made a game out of it and came out with some REDICULOUS names, but some of the "silly" ones actuall made the list once we stopped to think about it.

    We then stole another idea on how to narrow it down. Another mom posted that she and DH made a list and put it on a whiteboard. Anytime one of them decided they didn't like a name they crossed it out. The names that remained at the end (probably several months later) were the winners and they used that combo for their boy name.

    We printed out a list of names that fit what we liked in a name were having a girl so for us it was surnames. We printed out two lists one for me and one for him. Then we crossed off the names we really didn't like, at the end we had about 6 names in common. We also have a 1.5 year old so we had to have her say the names to make sure it wasn't going to come out something horrible. I am 22 weeks, we just settled on Elliot Grace last night and we've had the list printed out since 4 weeks. It will probably take some time but that way you at least have a place to start.
