R.I.P my sweet Sammy.

Put my sweet boy down today. Puppy. I call him a puppy but he was actually 7. I just think of him that way because he's always been my little baby boy. Always my snuggler. Super hard day for us all. I haven't cried this much since losing the baby. I think ultimately we did what was right for Sam.
Today it was just me and the baby and the dogs all day. We moved up Sammy's appt because he spent three hours just laying outside. I really thought I was going to check on him and find that he head left us already. Sammy loved to lay outside. Right at the bottom of our deck on the grass. And that's where he laid today. Until it starting drizzling and he moved under the deck. I couldn't get him to come inside for anything.
We took him late afternoon. I held his sweet head in my arms and just held him and kissed him the while time. Although I know we did what's best, my heart is broken. That's for sure.
