I woke up today, like every day, and went to work. I don't love my job, but I simply can't live without the clients I work with. They're mentally retarded/developmentally disabled adults. I have worked with this group over a year. I adore them all.
I got laid off today. Medicaid is making cuts, so she can't keep me on. So suddenly I'm pregnant and jobless. WTF!
I've applied now for unemployment, and will look more into new places to work. Once I calm down. BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)
3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!
Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500
First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat
LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!
TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015
Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015
Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270
First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.
JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

Gosh I'm sorry! That must be sad and terrifying all at the same time.
I feel fo rthe struggling economy down in the states (I'm in Canada). We live quite close to the North Dakota border and we are down there all the time shopping. I know us (and most of Western Canada) and North Dakota are booming right now with oil (That's the industry I work in-Environmental Consultant) but that there are large parts of the US that are still struggling.
Hope things turn around quickly for you!
PS: Did you try your doppler last night? I'm debating on getting one as my Dr said he won't try the doppler until after 20 weeks (Wht?!?! that freaks me out!!!)
I did try it, but haven't been able to find baby yet. I found the maternal artery and have read that baby usually is close to there. So I think I've got the right spot, it's just too early. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to find it.

((((OCN)))) I'm so sorry! I hate this economy!! I was jobless when I got pregnant and it is very stressful. I'm glad that you have already applied for unemployment - are you on YH's insurance?

Yes, luckily, DH's job covers our insurance. What sucks is that I bring home most of our money. So we're going to be hurting.
