Just thought I would post a quick update. We are still waiting for his genetic tests to come in, but we know he does not have fragile x. We have been waiting 2 weeks and will have to wait up to 2 months total. I don't think it will come back with anything.
We have a new feeding plan we have been tinkering with and we are close to a schedule. We are still doing 2, 7oz bottles when he is sleeping. He isn't eating much when he is awake, but some how we are still going enough weight. I think that we are out of g tube territory for a while at least.
He's being a lot more active and he is kinda sitting independently. I still wouldn't leave him in supervised because he is quite wobbly. He tolerates tummy time much better and is bearing weight better though his arms. He can leave them straightened for a few seconds if place in that position. He started reaching at the beginning of the year and that was probably the most promising thing ever. He also started to babble a month or two ago. He still doesn't attempt to immitate tho.
We still have miles to go in terms of progress, but the fact we are progressing at all is promising.
He has 2 teeth that broke through the gums in the last month. They are the front bottom left and front top left.
You ladies have been very supportive and I just thought I'd give an update since it has been a while.
Re: Update
That's awesome, glad he is eating for you. I know how frustrating/scary that can be.
He sounds like physically he is really making a lot of progress! Yeah
As for the babbling, that's exactly what Aiden does. He doesn't imitate either, glad everything is going well!!!!!
Good job, Grant! Keep up the progress!
I'm doing better. The prozac has really helped a lot. I feel normal again.
My foot is okay I guess. I'm still in a boot using crutches on and off. I'm in PT two times a week and I still am unsure how normal I'll ever get back to.The best thing about my foot is that for the last month or so, I've been able to keep it NOT elevated without being in a lot of pain. That was the thing that limited me more so than not walking or using crutches. I even cooked dinner last night! Side note... it was really easy. Frozen chicken in the oven, instant mashed potatoes and veggies in the microwave Lol.
Ever since after month 3 he has been a very happy and content baby. He does seem to laugh more now that you mention it. Hmmm.

It sounds like Grant is making some good progress! To me, personally, it really sounds like he's catching up, and isn't that far behind some of our younger 212 babies!
Aria babbles, says a few words, but she doesn't imitate hardly ever. I'm talking maybe twice so far. :0]
