ER yesterday

Had my first ER yesterday and they got 11 eggs... Good number right?? Today they called and said that 7 of them got fertilized.. Is this normal that not all of the would get fertilized? Now we are just waiting for tomorrow to get the numbers on the eggs.. What should we be hoping for? We don't know if we are going to do a day 3 or a day 5 transfer- it all depends on the eggs. I am so anxious and nervous/excited.. What's going to happen? EKKK Any advice will help!!

    I had mine yesterday too! We got 12 eggs, but don't get a call until tomorrow to find out how they are and when the transfer will be. I am feeling the same way - nervous and excited!

    11 eggs is good!  And 7 fertilized is good!  It is normal that all of them won't fertilize.   Now its just a waiting game to see how your embryos grow.  They will transfer the best ones and leave the rest to freeze.  I'm sure you will get an option to transfer one or two embryos depending on their quality.  I wish you the very best!

    8/30/15 Started Meds for FET schedule on 10/13/15

    10/13/15 TX two great blasts.  Beta scheduled for 10/22/15

    That sounds pretty good to me.  I had 14 eggs at retrieval, 12 fertilized, and for transfer there were still 8 viable.  2 embryos were transferred and 4 more ended up making it to the freezer :)

    statistically, only 60% of what is retrieved fertilize
