So sorry to be a PW. If you have to have an HSG soon do not read on.
I just left from getting my HSG. And it hurt, SO BAD! I did fine at first, then the catheter pulled out when I moved. They put it back in and it hurt but not too terribly. Then it fell out AGAIN. They reinserted it and I'm telling you it felt like someone stabbed me with a dull knife! I cried like a baby.
I'm so glad it's over and I hope I never have to do that ever again.
The staff was amazing though and the DR was so apologetic afterwards.
My mom got me this stuffed ovary I told her about when I saw KK had one. She surprised me with it when we hear that DH couldn't come with me. I named her Olivia and she was definitely squeezed to death today. Haha.

Suspected Miscarriage on 8/14/12 @ 6w1d..
Ectopic found & removed from right tube on 9/7/12 @ 9w4d.
Continued trying for another year.
HSG Oct 2013 shows Left tube clear, right tube blocked.
BFP Nov 2013. Miscarriage at 5w3d.
BFP Jan 2014. Ectopic- found and removed from left tube 6w2d.
On to IVF.
Hydrosalpinx found in right tube. Oct 2014.
Remaining portions of Right and Left tubes removed 1/6/15.
Started BCP FEB 24, started stims Mar 18. Antagonist protocol. (menopur, bravelle, cetrotide)
"Slow responder" - stimmed for 14 days.
Triggered with 5,000IU norvarel. 8 Follicles. 5 Retrieved. 4 Mature. All 4 fertilized w/ICSI.
OHSS- Transfer cancelled.
2 Embies made it to day 5. Both 4ab; frozen.
FET Scheduled for May 20th!!
1 5ab frosty transferred.
BFP @ 4dp5dt

Sorry you had such a bad experience.
Pretty much exact same thing happened to me: catheter fell out, followed by lots of pain. At least it's over and hopefully you never have to go through that again!

July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!
Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

OP, sorry it was so painful! Ugh! Mine was painful as well. I hope I don't have to ever repeat it. Plus it was flucking expensive.

I honestly have no idea. He was originally going to show me everything, but since I was in so much pain with it he just did it all as fast as he could. By the time it was done I just wanted out of there. I'm waiting to hear from my doctor about the results.
