How old all of you ladies when you started seeing a RE??? How old are you currently.?
I began clomid when I was 30 with my regluar gyno because I didn't know any better! Began with my RE when I was 31 and here I am now 32!!! Wondering How old I will be when I have my baby??? How much longer do i have to wait. I'm so impatient!!!!

We started ttc when I was 26, started seeing a RE when I was 28 (exactly a year ago), and now I am currently 29.  I have this thought all the time because my diagnosis is DOR.  I fear I waited to long and I am scared I will never have my own biological child.

My whole life I always said I wanted to be starting around 25 and be done having kids when I am 30. I wanted 2 or 3. My mom was 15 when she had me, my gma (my mom's mom had 2 kids by the time she was 20), My moms sister was 16, and then my cousin was 16.    Sounds crazy but I wanted to do everything in the right order.  I wanted to finish college, have a stable job, get married, and then be financially stable, then have my babies.  Now I feel that it is soo unfair to now have a diagnosis of DOR.  Soooooo maybe I should of popped out my kids first : ( ... crazy to say but I would of started in my early 20s if I would of  known!!  I started dating my husband when I was 18 sooo we should of just flippn started right away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a month away from turning 30 when I stopped bcp. I started seeing my Ob/Gyn 7 months after that because we already knew I have endo and were expecting difficulties TTC. My Ob/Gyn is retired but still works for fun at his daughter's office and I love him. He used to work in a reproductive medicine center and did a wonderful job with my initial work up, that saved us a lot of time at the RE. I started seeing an RE early 2012 and by then I was 31. As a proud Virgo I turned 32 last September :-)

I know what you mean, I sometimes get panic attacks because I can just feel time passing by just like sand escaping between my fingers and feel truly hopeless. My dream is to have three children and more and more I feel like I have to give up on my dream.

I get it! I am 32 as well and ready to get this show on the road! Some of my friends have recently turned 30 and are either not in serious relationships or not married yet. They are stressed about that and not that it is a good comparison, but I do feel happy that DH and I at least have 3 years of marriage under our belts and have been able to enjoy that alone time together. I am not sure jumping right into have kids would have been good for us (although we should have jumped right in as it is taking a while, hindsight's always 20/20). But my friends are worried that they still need to find a man, get married and THEN have kids, all in their thirties. The bottom line is that it sucks getting older in general!!
    TTC since June 2011
DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
    Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
    Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
    SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
    SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
    FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
    moving on to DS

I understand!  We started TTC when I was 27, I was 28 when we first saw an RE and I'll be 29 in May.  I've wanted kids for as long as I can remember.  I always wanted to have 2 by the time I was 30 and 1 more after that - I feel naive now!  Although people love to tell me that I'm "still so young!" and to "enjoy my time with my husband."  Yes, they don't know we are having trouble TTC, but it still makes me angry because I always thought I'd have a baby by now - and I love spending time with my husband, but we are more than ready to start a family.

I was 26 when we got married and started TTC. About 18 months later we met with our RE for the first time and that was almost exactly a year ago. I turn 29 in June. My sister was pregnant with her 3rd when she was 29.

DH is 5 years older then me and our RE has told us that he is basically going through male menopause and that he is going to run out of swimmers sooner than later. So much for the theory that age doesn't matter for guys. I think he is really wishing we would have gotten married earlier and started trying earlier.

Married 8/14/10 * TTC since Aug 2010 * Met with RE in Feb 2012 * DH: low motility, low sperm count, elevated FSH * Me: Stage 4 Endometriosis * Laparotomy to remove endo in May 2012 * June 2012 - DH on Rx to hopefully increase count/quality * Re-tested sperm 10/22/12, count/quality have both dropped * IVF #1 w/ICSI * Transferred 2 beautiful embryos on 2/18/13 * Beta #1 3/1/13 - 636!!! Hi- oh, if I could turn back time, I would! We started TTC when I was 32 and started seeing RE when I was 33 and I am still 33 (well, for a few more months!)  My husband is ten years older than me so we are really impatient (even though I know we haven't been trying as long as I know most others on this board have been) and are hoping we get lucky sooner than later!

We got married in 2011 and waited a few months to start- now, I wish we had started before we got married! I was so worried about not getting pregnant that I didn't even consider how hard it was to get pregnant! Although, no one really tells you that and my friends were popping out their babies after "trying" for like 1-3 months. Ugh...sorry for the long message. I have DOR so this is constantly on my mind and I am kicking myself daily...

Me 36/DH 46 Me: Low AMH (.21) DOR, mild endo; Started seeing RE 11/12

I will be 31 in July and I so wanted to be done having kids at 30! We got married when I was 25 and immediately started ttc and every month BFN and after a year when I had given up hope and made a specialist appt we amazingly got BFP! I thought awesome maybe I don't have a problem, wrong! We have been married nearly 6 years and I've only been pg once and never been in bc : I'm positive in my whole family we are the only ones that haven't had a oops I accidentally got pg! I'm so jealous of everyone that have oops accidents! If they only knew the struggle.

With my situation, I've never been a young fertile chick...LOL, just young :)

I was married shortly after I turned 29 (we got married quick so we could start TTC sooner rather than later....we got engaged on our 1yr anniversary and married 10months later)

Started my testing w/my Gyn halfway to 30

Saw the RE shortly after I turned 30.

Started Clomid (my one and only try) halfway to 31--went immediately to injects

I'll be 32 in August and will have done 2 IUIs and 4 IVF cycles by then....maybe a 5th if we cycle again in July (maybe, maybe not)

I'm impatient too....I'm QUEEN of the impatients so I feel ya!! LOL

If it makes you feel better, I babysit a lot and I met a mom who had 10month old twins. She looked to be older but she apparently looks GREAT for her age because she confessed that she got pregnant with the twins when she was 49.

WOW!!! So, I'm not worried anymore :)

We waited a long time to start trying - I was 26 when we got married & didn't start trying until I was 30.  I am now on my way to 33 & still no luck =(

Yeah, I would have gone of birth control WAY earlier so a) I would have had a heads up and b) saved money on bc pills all those years!

    My TTC Journey:
Dx: Hypothalamic amenorrhea / mild PCOS (Pretty much a hormone/ovulatory disorder)
Progesterone to induce period w/ the goal of Clomid - never got period (September 2011). Referred to RE.
Femera - never responded to the meds (December 2011)
Clomid with TI - BFN (February 2012)
    Injectables (Menopur) - hyperstimulated/canceled (March 2012)
Injectables #2 (Menopur) with TI- BFN (May 2012)
IVF - OHSS (transfer canceled), but 11 frozen! (June 1012)
    FET - 1 transferred on 8/09/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 350.3; Beta#2: 365; Beta#3: 157. Biochemical pregnancy.
    FET # 2 - 1 transferred on 11/01/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 337; Beta#2: 769. BFP!!! 1st ultrasound 11/28/12 showed heartbeat, but measuring 5 days behind. 2nd ultrasound 12/05/12 - miscarriage.
    FET # 3 - 1 transferred on 1/24/13. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): BFN.
    FET # 4 - 2 transferred on 3/21/13.  Bet #1 (11dp5dt): 660; Beta#2: 1,300.  Miscarried at home @ 6 weeks.

    FET # 5 - 2 transferred on 7/12/13.  Beta #1 (10dp6dt): BFN.
Attempted an IUI in late August 2013, but didn't respond well.
IVF #2 with PGS - Stims started 10/28 with retrieval on 11/11.  Of 14 mature eggs, 10 fertilized, 4 made it to Day 5 & 1 made it to Day 6. We did PGS on the Day 5 embryos, and 3 of 4 were normal. Had ET on 11/17. Beta #1 (8dp6dt): 203. Beta #2 (10dp6dt): 618. We since had two ultrasounds & on 12/19, our RE released us to the OB.  On 1/02/14, we had our first ultrasound with the OB where we heard the heartbeat.  We are so thankful for the blessing & crossing every finger & toe for a healthy & successful pregnancy.

Went off birth control at 30 when I got married, started seeing an RE at 33 until 34 and back again at 36, I'll be 37 on Monday.

Getting old sucks. I thought I'd be married at 23 and have kids at 25.  That plan went out the window quickly (although I did start dating DH at 23).  Figured when we got married maybe we'd have kids around 33.  Still a little late.

    Me (37) DH (39); PCOS changed to Unexplained, changed to DOR in 2012 (finally a correct diagnosis!);
Started TTC 2009 with RE after 6 months.
    Clomid + Trigger x2;
    IUI + Femara x1,
    IUI + Follistim x2;
IVF #1 (MDL) February 2013- BFN.
IVF #2 (antagonist) May 2013, First BFP of my life.
Identical twin miracle BOYS (!!) headed our way- due date is technically 2/4/14 but c section is scheduled for 1/7!

I have all those comments!  My age has nothing to do with my desire to have a child! It was even more frustrating after my loss when people would say "well, at least your young, you can try again" as if that would make me feel better.

We started trying when I was 26, first say RE right before my 27th b-day and I will be 28 in May.

    TTC since May 2011
Provera x3 late 2011, no natural response. (Previous BCP for 12 years).
     Dx PCOS April 2012.
    Clomid x 4 - no response.
First FSH/Ovidrel cycle early Aug 2012 - 18 days of injections, slow growth, erratic estrogen levels, triggered Aug 21st.
BFP Sept 4th and Sept 7th!
     7wk US Sept 28th - triplets!
Perfect triplets lost at 20 weeks due to incompetent cervix. Allison Grace, James Alexander and Colin Gregory forever in our hearts!
    IVF #1 10/11/13 -  canceled before retrieval.
    IVF# 2 11/28/13 - retrieval on Turkey Day! Hyperstim - no transfer
    FET #1 2/4/14 - miscarriage @ 9 weeks (Trisomy 6)
FET #2 6/8/14 - healthy normal baby! Due date 2/25/15

I was 28 when we got married in 2009, we took a year off, started trying in 2010 (29) and didn't find out until 2011 (30) that we weren't working with all the necessary materials.

Spent all of 2012 figuring out the exact problem/deciding on donor sperm/trying IUIs and starting IVF and now we're in 2013, just finished FET#1 and I'll be 32 in June and DH will be 39.

The passage of time thing bothers me too. Both how old we'll be when/if we finally have a baby and how long we've been at this. I think this is like the 24th or 25th cycle I've tracked and it just feels like SO LONG has passed already. It's disheartening to look at it that way so I try to be like my husband and focus on this and only this cycle. It doesn't always work though.

    TTC since Sept 2010
Aug 2011 - SA reveals no sperm
