So, Tuesday and Wednesday I was on my feet alll day long, and noticed swelling for the very first time. Nothing too severe, but definitely swelling. I had my regular appt with my dr today, and of course mentioned it to her.
She suggested maternity compression stockings. Since I have no clue where to find them, I've started googling. Are these things seriously $30-45/pair?!? And why doesn't Motherhood Maternity carry them?
Have any of you ladies invested in any of these things? Are they mildly comfortable? Where can I find them? And how much should I realistically expect to pay?
Thanks, ladies!
Re: Swelling- compression stockings?
You just need regular compression stockings, which are sold at Walmart, Target, online. Get the 20-30 mm Hg ones (the ranges are different for each brand). In general they run about $10-15/pair.
I wore them for work before being pregnant and they help significantly if you are on your feet all day. I find them super comfortable.
