Our anatomy scan was supposed to be this morning at 11am. I have the appointment card and everything. We get to the hospital and the maternal fetal medicine ward is deserted. The receptionist saunters over a few minutes later and tells us that there's no one here. We tell her we're supposed to have our a/s. She checks and tells us we're scheduled tomorrow. I show her the card with her own writing and tell her we made this appointment seven weeks ago. At that point she realizes it was their screw up and apologizes to the high heavens.
Whatever, I guess. One more day won't kill us. But MAJOR BUMMER...I was a ball of nerves all day yesterday and this morning. Gah.
We even sent DD to Grandma's for the night and got steaks to have for dinner to celebrate. We're going to go out for lunch and buy a futon at IKEA to keep ourselves busy for the day. :]
Appointment is tomorrow at 10:30; wish us luck!

Aw what a bummer, good for you for staying positive though!
I wish there was an IKEA somewhere near us, I've never been and it sounds like a pretty sweet store.

That sucks!!! I am one to completely flip out when plans don't work out the way they are planned, so props to you for being cool and relaxed about it =D

A smiliar thing happened to me at my 16 weeks appointment (just a regular check up). I had scheduled it way back at my 9 week appointment but when I showed up they were all "why are you here?" Luckily they were able to get me in after waiting a bit.

I didn't focus on the disappointment for long. We had a delicious Olive Garden lunch [H indulged my need for pasta], bought a futon, rearranged the office and put it together, had our nice steak dinner, and now we're watching our Rangers.
Not too shabby. :]
And tomorrow will be wonderful.
