Thankful for you guys!

I just wanted to say how thankful I am that everyone on this board is so nice and supportive. I typically don't travel from board to board on here and thought I would check some others out and I was too frightened to post anything! People on some of the others were quite feisty and not so nice!

 So thanks again for just being nice! Big Smile Have a good day!

    Yes Im thankful also! Im new to the area and dont have many friends and its nice to have this online community to vent to!

    Yeah, I noticed that too. I typically just lurk here, parenting, 0-3 mos, and AP. Single parents seems to be the nicest and most supportive group of ladies I've seen. They tend to be particularly judgemental on the parenting and AP boards. I think maybe it's because the other boards just don't have the struggles and issues that we do here.

    I agree! On the other boards I don't even want to mention the words "single mother" or "got pregnant by mistake". I tend to just talk about that stuff here, where I feel supported! :)

    I feel the same way. I feel so unconnected on the other boards because everyone is talking about their loving husbands or significant others while I'm sitting here thinking about whether or not I need a part time job to help cover expenses that my full time job won't cover

     I definitely understand what you're saying! Its overwhelming to see some of their issues when it seems like I have soooooo many more to deal with!

     I did get a part time job the week I found out I was pregnant. I'm only going to keep it until the baby is here but its been nice to have some extra money to save and start preparing for his arrival. Plus I got a part time job at Target, they've been soo flexible with me and on top of it I get an extra discount on all the baby stuff I need to buy. Keep your head up! We will get through this!

    Yeah, my ex freaked out and disappeared the first couple of days.  When he reappeared he was pushing for abortion.  Then it seemed like he was starting to look around for a better job and then he dumped me.  On Christmas, btw.  Now, I'm in school and looking for a part time job to work around my full-time job and school.  This is going to be the longest semester ever.
