Hot flashes before period? (Probably TMI)

This never used to happen to me before I had DS, but ever since my first PP period (when DS was 8 months old), the night before my period starts, I wake up at least once with a crazy hot flash. Drenched in sweat, feel like I'm dying of heat stroke, etc. Last night, I was about ready to go outside and sleep in the snow. I still BF DS, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Does this happen to anyone else, or am I just lucky? Is there anything I can do to help the situation?

    I usually have a hot flash and have to take a big, like HUGE shiit.

    How old are you?  My doctor told me that you can start getting signs of menopause in your late 30's or early 40's.  or you have to poop.

    I'm 30. Man, I hope it's not menopause! That would blow. I had hot flashes/night sweats every night for the first six weeks or so after LO was born, and this feels the same, but only for one night (thankfully).
