21 months apart...what did you buy?

I'm trying to make sure I have everything ready before LO#2 gets here in about 4 1/2 weeks. I'm planning to reuse a bunch of the stuff I got from DS1, but I know there are some things I should probably replace. So far I'm planning to get a double stroller, new nipples for our bottles that DS used (planning to BF, but just in case) and a supply of diapers and wipes. I received some cash and gift cards at a small shower my MIL threw last weekend, so just trying to figure out how to spend it.

Was there anything you remember buying or wish you would have bought before you hit 2u2?

The only baby gear I bought for DD2 was a double stroller and a Moby Wrap. I did buy some new clothes for her for fun and then diaper, wipes and a few new bottles. Other than that I reused all of DD1's stuff.

I got a better carrier (BECO gemini) because we're not getting a double stroller. (at least not yet. we really don't have the space for it).

We obviously had to buy different clothes, and I got some gender specific burp cloths and a new boppy cover, but I really can't think of too much else we bought!

Practically nothing for 18M apart (both boys). Some clothes for fun, plus they are opposite seasons for size, so some new clothes were necessary. Other than that, just a double stroller (used). And of course we need additional car seats. I bought another breast pump since I sold mine the first time (hey, if someone else wants to use it....) as I only used it for 8 weeks. I didn't even want to re-use my *own* pump after it sat around for 1.5 years. I think we will get an additional booster seat for DS2 as soon as he's really solid at sitting up. I can't wait to ditch the high chair.

The list was short and random, thankfully! Double stroller, infant insert for my Ergo. We got a new changing pad since we'd been using the one that came with table and it wasn't going to last 2 more years. We replaced a musical toy dd loved so much it stopped playing.

Once he was born we realized we needed boy clothes!

My insurance covered a pump this time, but I had to get it w/in 60 days of birth. Even though my old one was still working I was afraid it wouldn't last a full year so got the free one (which I now use, so good!)

We moved dd to a big girl room and reused the nursery, and I got a few toys to have on hand to occupy her while nursing to stave off jealousy. At 21mos, though, once she met her brother she didn't remember that he hadn't been there yesterday!

Not much! We have a 23 month gap and both are girls. The only things I needed were a double stroller, bibs since ours were pretty worn out, and new bottle nipples (for daycare). I'm reusing all the gear and clothes. I've bought a lot of clothes and accessories for DD2 just because and a My Brest Friend since I wasn't a fan of the Boppy.

I'm due next Wed w/#2, which is a girl, and #1 was a boy, but we didn't know so most things I have are gender neutral. We bought a crib, dresser, cheap glider, changing pad, some changing pad covers as we needed them anyway, new basinett sheets only b/c the old ones shrunk, pink boppy pillow cover as we had 2 last time and one ripped, some girl clothes (hard to resist), new bottles - had Dr. Brown's last time and refuse to use them again w/all the parts, but I am hoping i can bf...new mobile b/c old one only played for 2.5 min and then had to be wound up again, pacifiers...sounds like a lot now that I am listing it. I am on the look out for a used baby jogger double...

Not much. I got diapers, and a RnP since I didn't get one with DS1 and ended up really wanting one. I didn't even buy a double stroller until DS2 was 3 or 4 months old, and we've only used it a handful of times.

Mostly I've just bought some new clothes as DS2 has grown. I didn't buy that many clothes with DS1 so some sizes are a little sparse.

Mine will be 21 months apart if this one is born on/around it's due date. We don't know the sex of this baby yet, but even if it is a girl again we will need clothes because the seasons/sizes will be off.

My plan is to buy a new car seat (I hated DD's), a double stroller, a bigger diaper bag (I am not a fan of our current one), bottle nipples (I plan on BFing but I am a working mom so LO2 will have to have bottles at daycare), diapers, wipes, and pacifiers.

I plan on keeping LO2 in our room with us for at least 4 months in the arm's reach co-sleeper or RNP that we have from dd1. Eventually we will either need another crib for LO2 or a toddler bed for DD1, but I am going to hold off on purchasing that for now.

I am sure there will be some other things that pop up that we will want/need, but I am hoping to reuse everything that we can and keep the purchases to a minimum.

Our boys will be around 22 months apart.

For DS2 we bought a new crib set, bottles, diapers, wipes, double stroller, 2nd monitor camera, sound machine.. i think that's about it.

We will reuse DS1's infant carseat, infant bathtub etc and I have receiving blankets up the wazoo! I may get a few new bath towels, bibs since ours are a bit worn at this point.

Don't need clothes since its another boy and very close to the same time of year. I will probably get a couple new things or matching stuff for pictures etc

I plan on getting a double stroller, new car seat for the older one, new breast pump parts and bottle nipples, a few newborn clothes cause we got rid of a lot of those, a bigger diaper bag (ours is very small)

We still have the swing, bouncy chair, co-sleeper and some other things, hoping to not need too much.

My girls are a little under 22 months apart, and I don't think I bought anything other than what you mentioned. Oh and a crib. DD1 was in a convertible (still using it now as a toddler bed) so we couldn't use it for DD2.

If you have the extra cash, I'd also suggest new washcloths and hooded towels. I don't know about you, but for us, by the time DD2 came around, the ones DD1 had used were pretty worn out.

we did:

New Nursery (Kept DD in her room with Crib and did another nursery)
- Crib, Dresser, decor, bedding, crib matress Reused glider

New Monitor (wanted the Dual Monitors)

New Bottles

Some new clothes, not as much as DD had.

Bottle warmer (old one broke near the end)

Some new recieving blankets. DD's were pretty warn.

Blankets. We use DD's all the time and needed some more for #2

Ditto for much of the above mentioned...I just tried to think of items they both need at same time....sound machine, humidifier, etc.

We got new nipples, some new binkies (reused some, too), all of her nursery stuff (DD1 kept her furniture), diapers, and a double stroller. Everything else got reused.
