I've enrolled E in a toddler swim class, which means I have to appear in a bathing suit -- in public. Before E, I always wore a bikini, but I'm thinking that I'm not in a bikini place right now. I spent last summer in a very ugly old lady bathing suit. It must have been a popular style -- I saw it on many, many overweight 50-60 somethings. Since I've lost all the baby weight I'd like to do better this time. I don't have tons of cash, I'm fairly conservative, and I'm fairly slim with small boobs and big hips.
Can any of you fashionistas help me find an acceptable bathing suit?
Re: Help me find a swimsuit
This is one of my favorite sites for about any fashion, especially their swimwear:

This is a suit I think may fit your body type well. There are several I think would probably look cute on you.
I'm a big fan of J.Crew swimsuits (but it might be because I have a long torso, so their suits always fit me well.)
And regardless of how you feel about your body, bikinis can be tough for swim lessons anyway. There's a lot of grabbing and pulling going on!
This! We start on Tues and I am sporting a one piece during lessons so Gator doesn't go nuts and yank my top off.
That, my friends, is an excellent point. What kind of one piece do you have? Is it something sporty (speedo or the like) or normal?
Do you think I could get something nice under $75? I don't really care about 1 piece or two, as long as it covers my belly a little.
But they make small boobs look awesome!
So they do. I guess its a trade off.
and deflated mom boobs.
I haven't gotten mine yet but I am just going for a simple black one piece from like Target, Old Navy, Costco, etc. I am trying to spend 50 dollars....hopefully less. I figure that I'm not really in the pool to look good and people are going to be focused on their kids and not what I look like anyway. I am going to spendy the big money on swimsuits for this summer....and spend less money on swimming lesson swimsuits.
This one is a little over your price range at 107.00 at Macy's but I bet you could find a discount.

That's cute! I'll talk to DH about the price.
Seems like sound reasoning. I'd hoped to kill two birds with one stone and get one suit for both, but it sounds like a sturdier suit might be necessary for the swim class.
I have a thing for black swimsuits...
Old navy
It's a halter

Target

$50
First, go to swimoutlet.com. They have a ton of swimsuits at good prices so you may find one there that you like under $50. Second, if you are going to baby swim I really do not recommend a 2 piece and I do recommend something that is chlorine resistant if you are going to do this often. Will you be going to the University pool? Most of the people at the pools I go to wear athletic suits as they tend to be chlorine resistant and allow more movement without having to worrying about something poking out.
Mine is like this one...https://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/1436.htm
That looks like a great suit boy will my girls look flat though. Does speedo carry push ups?
Not sure but mine does have a shelf bra with a light padded lining. I do know that Speedo and TYR have a lot of different styles and cuts so you my be able to find something else under the "fitness" category that is flattering for you.
You might want to check out the website a little more though because they have tons of great suits for good prices whether they are fitness suits or fashion suits. Hope you have good luck finding one!

I wish your boobs the best of luck in their quest to regain their pre-baby perkiness. I certainly hope they fare better than mine
