I'm so excited! Picked Brenner's birthday theme :)

Let me start by saying - one of my BFFs had her son on the SAME DAY as I had my little guy.  So, we've had to choose dates for our birthday parties early because we both want to attend each other's son's party.

Since we picked the date, I also wanted to make sure we didn't do the same theme, since we have very similar tastes.  So, I chose my theme already!!

I call my LO my little bear, so we are going to do a Teddy Bear Picnic theme.  It's summertime and I live on the water so we have a beautiful breeze, and it will be perfect for a picnic.  Plus, picnic-type food is so easy!  Our colors will be mostly red/white gingham, with red/white balloons, and our decorations will be 'woodsy' with pieces of wood and moss on the tables with teddy bears, picnic baskets, and toadstools.  I'm going to do cupcakes with little fondant bear faces and red gingham flags for the guests and have a seperate smash cake for little one.  We'll have some red gingham picnic blankets outside and some tables with red gingham tableclothes.  Foodwise I'll do bear cut-out sandwiches, watermelon, deviled eggs, potato salad, ants on a log, and tomato/basil/mozz salad.  And, for the children I'll have the Teddy Bear Picnic book and a bag of Teddy Grahams and a little teddy bear for a take home gift.  LO will wear a red gingham romper with his monogram in white.

    So cute!! I am jealous that you have so much planned already! 

    I have been thinking about it lot lately.  I think I decided to do a different book theme each year.I love books and DD seems to as well. I think this year we are going to do a very hungry caterpillar.  I didn't want anything too girly.  I did find a super cute tutu outfit if that is what we end up going with.

    That's such a cute idea!!
    I've found a boy crown to take 1 yr old pics. He'll possibly also wear it for his party for family to take pics.
    We already know the theme is cars. Foods you can find out at Motor Speedway. Mini hot dogs, sliders, snow cones....and of course healthy options.

    Really cute idea.  I am no where near as organized as you are.  I can barely plan dinners for the week much less a picnic for August!
