Twins with 10 day discrepancy

Did anyof you twin mamas have a week or more gestation measurement for your little ones? Our baby measures 8 weeks exactly, then they find another hidden heartbeat measuring 6 weeks 4 days. This is my second ultrasound, we thought we were having a singleton who measured 6 weeks two weeks ago. Still in shock but don't know what to make of the size difference.

Any advice appreciated, sorry I'm bumping mobile.

    My twins were always a few days apart but didn't really start having a big discordance until later in pregnancy. At your stage my OB said up to one week different is "okay" and later when they start measuring percentiles, it's a 20% or more difference that is concerning.  Are they in the same gestional sac or separate?  Hoping your little one starts to catch up!

    My first u/s at 6w5d they measured exactly the same. Since then, they have been 5 or 6 days apart. Not quite a week but close.

    My DD was always about a week behind DS. We worried the whole time about it, but she turned out perfect!

    At my last ultrasound (20 weeks) mine were measuring 10 days apart. I'll have another ultrasound on Monday (29 weeks) and we'll see how they've grown. I wouldn't worry about it, if the doc is concerned, they'll let you know. Congratulations on your surprise! Wink

    At 7 weeks we had three babies.  One was measuring 7w1d and the other two were measuring 6w4d, so 4 days apart.  At 9 weeks, we only had two babies, one measuring 9w1d and one had caught up and was measuring 9w0d.  At 12weeks they were 12w1d and 12w0d.  We will see how they are doing next week!
    Began TTC #1 in January 2011
    Confirmation and Removal of Endo - March 2012
    +#1 on 4/1/12 - m/c @ ~8w 5d
    +#2 Tx cycle 4 - 5 mg Letrozole + 75iu Follsitim & Ovidrel w/ IUI on 11/13/12 - EDD 7/23/13 
    7 week u/s revealed THREE babies, all with heartbeats.  153bpm, 148bpm, and 136bpm
    9 week u/s revealed loss of Baby B.  A and C are growing on track.  A measuring 9w1d with 172bpm and C measuring 9w0d with 179 bpm.  
    Elective sex determination u/s on 2/8 revealed... boy AND girl!

    I have an IRL friend who has b/g twins 11 years old. She said they always measured 9-10 days difference on her u/s's and she worried a lot, but her dr was ok with it, and they are definitely healthy kids now.

    (FWIW My di/di girls were only 1-3 days apart.)

    In the beginning, they were 1 day apart, then they got to be 5 days apart, but then caught back up until later in pregnancy when we had a growth discordance. GL!
    m/c 7/17/10
    Dx: MFI- 3% morph
    IUIs: Gonal-F + Ovidrel + b2b IUI= BFNs
    IVF with ICSI= BFP! EDD 11/25/11
    3/18- Beta #1 452! 3/20- Beta #2 1,026!! 3/27- First u/s- TWINS!
    Our twin boys arrived at 36w5d due to IUGR and a growth discordance

    FET: Medicated FET moved up to 5/23 due to ovulation
    Transferred a 6BB hatched blastocyst- genetically normal female embryo
    BFP! 5/28- 5dp6dt      
    6/1 Beta #1- 223! 6/3 Beta #2- 567!
