I am 16 weeks pregnant, and for the past month I've been having terrible hip pain at night. I'm already sleeping solely on my side, either side, with a body pillow and an added tempurpedic foam top our bed, but my hips begin to ache so badly each night that I wake up at least 5 to 10 times throughout the night and have to keep switching sides. My right hip hurts especially, even when I'm not sleeping on my right side. Eek! Has anyone else gone through this, and what helped? I now own a mess of pillows that aren't helping much. Can you recommend any exercises or stretches?
Re: Hip Pain Causing Lack of Sleep
Hi,
I have a good bit of right hip pain too. I find pigeon pose (yoga) helps a lot.

I'm sure there are YouTube videos on how to so it... anyhow just an idea. It helps me a lot, I do it 3 or 4 times a day on both sides.
Hope that helps a little. Oh, and I don't look like the babe in the photo, she does it perfectly...I just do as much as my body can take.
Hope you feel better!
