I actually thought my LO had dry skin, and it turned out it was cradle cap that had spread to her face, so I was making it worse by putting vaseline on it. You may want to check to make sure with the doc that it isn't cradle cap and really is dry skin, as moisturizer will make it worse if it is.

Mine has extremely sensitive dry skin ALL over. After several fits and starts, the only thing that works on her body seems to be greasing her up in Aquaphor twice a day! It has made a drastic improvement.
I tell you, if the first one had been this much trouble, we probably wouldn't have had a second!
