I call IT support and whatever issue I am having does NOT suddenly go away when they go to look at it. lol
Seriously though, I hate feeling like a fool for calling IT. I'm not technologically challenged (spend 13 years of your life with someone who eats and breathes computer, it kind of rubs off on you), so that makes it that much more infuriating. I'm like "I swear I'm not dumb - The computer was really acting up until you picked up the phone".
Anyone else?
Re: I love it when...
IT guys and gals usually have a superiority complex as it is. I dated one, and I also went to college for IT security so I was surrounded by them. They think everyone is stupid, even one another. I couldn't stand being around them.
ETA: What's worse is that most of them are super lazy - getting calls really ruins their lazy time - and they really only know how to fix common issues and typically use Google for the rest.
// I love you too. //
There are some things I 100% rely on him - like downloading things. Seriously. I have NO IDEA how that works. But when it comes to day-to-day computer use and fixing minor problems, I'm on it. And if I can't do it on my own, I know to at least try and reboot before calling IT.
