Any tips for having 2u2? I'm worried about how I will change DS and lift him. I will have help for the first 2 weeks. DS is 10 months and doesnt walk yet! Ahhhhh!
My daughter was 18 months and even though she walked she still was carried a lot. You just do it It works out fine and you will be ready to do most things by 2 weeks out.
I did 2u2 twice with all c-sections. I was lifting my kids after a week because I had to - I don't have help around other than DH and he had to go back to work. My OB told me to just listen to my body.

Mine are 15 months apart, and I agree with PP. You just have to listen to your body. As for diaper changes, I would lay DD down on the floor on a towel. After 2 weeks or so, I would lift her into her high chair or crib, but otherwise I would let her walk. I will tell you that I'm 3 weeks out and still having some soreness late in the day. I'm afraid it may be from lifting.
I had a tough recovery so I definitely had to take it easy especially DH's first week back to work. I just minimized the opportunities I had to lift my older child. I kept diaper changing supplies in the living room and changed the kids on a towel vs carrying them to the changing table. Instead of lifting my son into the high chair, I used the space saver high chair and sat it on the living room floor. He napped on the couch vs the bed. It worked out just fine.
Most likely, with a regular repeat c-section recovery you'll be fine to lift your older child at 2 weeks PP. Even if you have a rough recovery, it's definitely manageable to take care of two.

I agree--DD was 22 mos old when I had DS and it was just fine; I also had help for the first 2 weeks
My DS is 1 year old. DD was born last Thursday and so far my recovery has been a dream. I was picking DS up on Sunday when I came home. I'm just moving a little slower than normal. But all is good.

My 2 are 18 months apart. My second C was an even easier recovery than my first. I was definitely lifting DD1 just days later, because I just needed to. I tried to take it easy, lift in ways that wouldn't put pressure in my incision area. It was hard for the first couple of weeks, but it worked out much better than I thought. Try not to worry, you'll be fine!
